Many students have been worried about the latest government plans to decrease the time of work from 20 hours to 10 hours during term time. These plans have not yet been implemented but the government have plans to implement it by 2011. As from 22 February 2010, student applicants will no longer be able to apply under Tier 4 using a visa letter. Applicants must possess a confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) from their prospective educational sponsor.
